Mission Travel Information

Once you have been notified by Dr. Randy Lynn that you have been selected as a participant for the 2020 trip, you need to arrange your travel.  Please contact Ascot Travel AS SOON AS YOU ARE CONFIRMED FOR THE TRIP!  

Contacting Ascot Travel (see below) is the easiest way to ensure you get the correct flights, you can make ONE payment for your flight, insurance and in-country meals/transportation.  If you make flight arrangements separately, you still need to contact Ascot to arrange your $150 meal/transportation payment.

YOU MUST CONTACT ASCOT TRAVEL BY FEBRUARY 15, 2020!!!!!!!

 

 Also, please consider using or applying for a United Airlines Credit Card.   Using the card entitles you (and a companion) to one FREE checked bag.  If you allow the Mission to use that FREE checked bag, it will help defray the cost of all the supplies we must ship.    Check it out at United Airlines Credit Card

PASSPORT NOTICE:  You must have at least 6 months remaining on your passport past your date of completion of your trip. Please take a picture of your passport, and scan it to Ascot Travel.

 

The flight information is current as of October 22, 2017 (and will be updated once Ascot Travel begins making tentative arrangements for the group.  The information is provided to assist you in budget planning for the travel portion of the trip.

Additionally, these prices shown include the airfare, 8 different air taxes, travel agent fee, as well as 6 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 2 dinners, and transportation in Honduras, as needed.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE has been mandated by your group leaders.  There are 10 different inclusions, but the main 4 are as follows:

1.      Trip cancellation

2.      Trip interruption

3.      Accident, sickness, medical expense while gone

4.      Emergency evacuation and repatriation of remains

This will cover you in case of accident, injury, sickness or death to you or members in your immediate family.

The premiums go by age and cost of trip (which is under $1000), as follows:

a.  Ages under 34            only $44 for the premium

b.  Between 35 and 59   only $62

c.  Between 60 and 69   only $84

d.  Between 70-74          only $120

Baggage:   For those traveling from San Antonio or Houston, your first checked bag will be used to carry medical and health supplies to Honduras. The cost of the first checked bag will be covered by the group leader.  You are allowed a second checked bag (but you must cover that cost yourself).  The bag should not exceed 50 pounds and 62 linear inches and you may be allowed one free carry on bag that must fit in the overhead compartment or under your seat. CHECK YOUR TICKET AND CONFIRM WITH ASCOT TRAVEL WHAT YOUR CARRY ON AND/OR BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE IS.
